"It took 20 years of my life to finally get a proper diagnosis and find a treatment to help me live a happy and healthy life. I am aiming to educate others and spread awareness about mental health and mental illness so others can get help sooner rather than later.
I hope one day mental health is required for all staff apart of athletic teams, men and women. This way mental health can be prioritized the same, if not more than physical health in athletes as it should be.
Allowing myself to accept the support of my family, proper medication, and therapy have helped/nourished me along my mental health journey."
